As the Community Events Coordinator for 101.5FM, I am privileged to have the unique opportunity to interact with with many different people and businesses throughout the North Lake Tahoe and Truckee Community.
This past summer I started promoting our local community through our all new Living the Tahoe Life series. We continue this winter by getting out on the snow and bringing you free lift tickets all winter long!

Keep it Local
At JD HOSS, we firmly believe in keeping your dollars local, and have joined the 3/50 Project movement.
The concept is simple:
- 3 - What 3 independently owned businesses would you miss if they disappeared?
- 50 - Spend $50 per month locally. Not $50 at each business, just $50. Instead of taking the trip to Reno, where could you buy the same thing in town?
- 68 - For every $100 spent local, $68 of it comes back to the local community in different forms. That's a pretty big boost to our local economy.
- 1 - Change starts with you! Instead of depending completely on tourism to keep our community moving, let's make a change together!
Supporting local businesses keeps your favorite shops and restaurants around, helps keep our roads paved and keeps money flowing throughout the local economy, creating jobs.
